The type of personal information we collect, how we get the personal information and why we have it
We currently collect and process the following information:
- – Your IP address & MAC address when you use the website
- – If you become a patient of ours, so that we can meet and discuss treatment of your conditions, we collect your name, contact details, medical information, payment information or insurance details
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly. We also receive personal information indirectly, from your GP or any other health referrals, which is necessary to understand your health history and condition and for its appropriate treatment.
We use the information that you have given us in order to provide personalised and high quality care, and help you in the future if you return to us for further treatment, as well as for our records and future reference.
We may share this information with:
- – Our receptionist who will arrange appointments, transfer information from you to our practitioner and vice versa.
- – A bookkeeper and accountant who will see all financial transactions
- – If you are a patient of ours, with relevant medical and healthcare professionals, including Nuffield Health and Blackberry Clinic (and other clinics found on our locations page), from whom we lease theatre space and rooms.
- – A court ordered body, if we are, in the unlikely event compelled to do so by law.
- – Companies that provide services to us, including our telephone service provider (Virtual Landline) who will see your phone number when you call and the content of calls made and voicemails left, and our internet service provider who may see your email address, but not the content of the email if it is sent encrypted.
- – Cloud, web and IT services, including our website hosting company (Amazon Web Services) who will see your IP address, cloud providers who host our documents (Microsoft), and search services who index our website and process calls & website visits (Google).
- – Regardless of the security measures we and our providers take, transmission of data via the internet (which will soon include phone lines) may not be completely secure and you are advised to take appropriate precautions when communicating with us via telecommunications infrastructure.

Your information is stored securely in our computerised records. For our patients, your data will be stored for 30 years. For those who choose not to pursue treatment, data will be stored for 30 years. For those making an enquiry, data is stored for 30 years.
